Body Waxing
Body Waxing
Waxing is the process of hair removal, we use strip wax to effectively remove the hair from the root. At Clean Slate, we use only the best products that are specifically formulated to prevent skin irritation to reactive skin. We use a cream-based strip wax that is formulated for sensitive skin and delicate skin. The wax used at Clean Slate is a natural antioxidant, an excellent emollient, and great for all skin types. The skin is prepped with an oil to protect the skin from the wax, after the waxing process is complete we use an after waxing oil that soothes, calms, and removes wax residue. The hair must be a minimum of 1/4 inch to ensure proper removal of hair. Trimming is not recommended.
Waxing originated in Egypt. In 1150 BC, it was reported that the bodies of women in Ramses III's harem were smooth and hairless. It is possible that body waxing was practiced even earlier in Egypt dating back to 3000 BC. Most areas of concern were legs and underarms.Since the 80s body waxing saw an increase in the number of women who wax. Today intimate waxing (known as Brazilian) is wildly popular followed by legs, underarms, facial, and backs.
